1. Open the mobile app.
2. Tap on the three vertical dots to summon settings.
3. Select the menu item “Calls”.

5. Go to Caller ID.

Block number on iPhone

On iPhone (iOS 13) the number can be blocked as follows:

1. Open Settings.
2. Scroll down to the menu item “Phone”.
3. Click Send my Caller ID.

Your private number can be permanently canceled faster by using a GSM code. All you have to do is enter the following set of characters into the selection field for your phone app:

Then press the receiver button to “call” the number. After that, all calls are made to the blocked number. The number barring number can be deactivated again using the following combination.

Cancel the mobile phone number one time

A single mobile phone number can also be canceled with a key combination. This works on every smartphone, regardless of the operating system. To do this, enter the group # 31 # followed by the number you want to call. Then your call will be shown to the other party as anonymous or unknown, but only for this time.

Tip: You can save individual numbers with the GSM code in your phone book so that you can always call them with the blocked number.

Cancel a landline number with Fritzbox

You can suppress your own phone number not only on the smartphone, but it is also possible on the landline phone at home. If you have connected your phone to a classic base station, you must activate number masking via the phone’s settings menu.

However, if you have connected your phone to the Fritzbox then proceed with the following:

1. You have to first open the Fritzbox UI in your browser.
2. Under the “Telephony” menu item, select “Telephony devices” and click on the pencil icon next to your phone.
3. Then click on the “Telephone Features” tab and activate the “Private Number Blocking (CLIR)” option.
