Egyptian doctors remove cell phones from patients’ stomachs

The man is said to have been taken to the clinic with severe abdominal pain. Doctors found severe injury and abdominal cramps in the patient. X-rays finally revealed that a foreign body was causing the pain. During the two-hour operation afterward, doctors shone a light on a tiny mobile phone that had prevented the man from properly digesting his food for weeks. The chemicals and components in the cell phone battery have become life-threatening for the patient.

Doctor. “The incident was unique. It was really strange because the man didn’t want to say why he swallowed the phone,” said Muhammad Al-Dahshoury, Dean of the Medical University. And the man’s health condition stabilized after the operation.
