Haunted Chocolatier is the next game from the creator of Stardew Valley

Eric Barron, aka ConcernedApe, has announced his next match. With the developer behind the highly successful independent farming simulation Stardew Valley, many fans have been waiting to see what his new venture might be. It’s called Haunted Chocolatier, and you can get a glimpse of the initial gameplay in the teaser above.

When writing about the game’s location, Barron gives us a vague idea of what the game is all about. The core of the game “involves gathering ingredients, making chocolate, and managing a chocolate factory,” but she assures us that “there is more to the game than that.” In the video, he definitely looks the same as his predecessor, but Barron says there are some key differences. We think running a chocolate company inside a haunted castle is a difference at least.

He wrote: “Like Stardew Valley, Haunted Chocolatier is another ‘city game’, where you move to a new city and experience a new lifestyle.” “You’ll get to know the townspeople and achieve your goals and progress in many ways. Everything is similar to Stardew Valley. He goes on to explain that the gameplay and theme are completely different, describing Haunted Chocolatier as “more of an action RPG than Stardew Valley.”

Barone has been developing the game solo for about a year and is currently unsure of when the game is expected to end. The platforms are also ambiguous, though he says he “has every intention of bringing it to other major platforms” in addition to PC. Obviously, this is just the beginning, but it’s safe to assume that it will eventually end on PlayStation 5.

So what do you think of Haunted Chocolatier? Are you looking forward to playing a new game from ConcernedApe? Do you still play Stardew Valley? Pamper yourself in the comments section below.
