On the early morning of New Year’s Eve, a 54-year-old taxi driver had an unpleasant experience with a rabid passenger. The police set out to search, but it was unsuccessful.
Leinfelden-Echterdingen – Early on Saturday morning, a taxi driver in the Stetten district had a previously unknown passenger’s cell phone stolen.
At about 2.45 am, a police car crew on the Sielminger Strasse was called to a taxi by a silent alarm. The 54-year-old taxi driver had set off the alarm half an hour earlier, because another passenger didn’t want to pay – just too little – and then attacked the taxi driver and finally stole his 54-year-old mobile phone. Upon exiting, the frenzied man also kicked the taxi door before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
Subsequent search was unsuccessful for the perpetrator, who was described as being between 25 and 30 years old, about 170 cm tall, blond-haired and plump.
