Veolia sells mobile water services to Saur

As part of commitments made to the European Commission in relation to competition, Veolia sells mobile water services to Saur. Thus, the latter will strengthen its position in industrial waters.

Announced on May 9, the agreement between the two entities is made possible by the signing of a unilateral put option, which will allow the parties to proceed with the transaction for a total amount of approximately €190 million, according to a consultation process with an employee of Veolia. Representative bodies and obtain the necessary regulatory licenses.

Global platform for mobile water services
This acquisition allows the Saur Group to increase its share of recurring activities, as well as its asset base within the industrial water sector. Veolia’s MWS Europe division will become Nijhuis Saur Industries’ global mobile water services platform. With this acquisition, Nijhuis Saur Industries is enhancing its portfolio of portable solutions, including reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration and deionization.

A full range of mobile water treatment technologies
MWS Europe has an asset base of nearly 400 mobile units, employs 70 people across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Benelux, Spain, Poland and Sweden, and has a diversified portfolio of over 600 clients. The company offers a full service of mobile water treatment technologies, including reverse osmosis (RO), ultrafiltration (UF) and deionization (IX). Providing flow rates from 5 to 1,000 m3/h, mobile water treatment technologies are pre-assembled on a trailer, on a sled or in a container for optimal mobility and response. Available in standard or modular systems, they are pre-equipped with “plug and play” connections that ensure their ease of use.
