An evening to fix all your things

Principle

Has the toaster given up the ghost? Is your vacuum cleaner working? Does your computer screen stay hopelessly black? Does your biker look dead? And of course you tend to deposit all those things that have become useless in the recycling center…

Not so fast: You can also go to volunteer experts who will help you diagnose the problem and possibly fix what you thought could not be fixed. All this for free. That’s the principle of the fix café, and the good news is, the Maison des Quartiers (allée Bel-Air) hosts one on Thursday, May 19 from 8pm to 10pm. This initiative comes from the Council of Citizens of the Côte des Roses.

Who does what?

La Maison des Quartiers calls on the expertise of L’Accorderie de la Fensch, the network of artisans, hackers, and seamstresses (because if you’re mad about thread and needle, they work too) that has earned its small reputation in North Moselle.

In general, L’Accorderie is the host of many reform cafés organized in this sector. The evening will also be attended by reformers from the association Prenons le Guidien, as well as experts from FabLab.

Who can come?

Mr. and Mrs. Everyone, unmarried people, people from the Côte des Roses, those who live in the city center if they so desire … Indeed, the Reform Café is a useful meeting place that also allows you to meet and talk about people, rain and good weather and also have a drink .

In short, it’s the promise to have a good time and leave with something we thought was still good to ride. If the principle of free entry prevails, the cat will be left to the discretion of the public in order to fund the repair materials for the volunteers.

Thursday, May 19, from 8pm, Maison des Quartiers, 58 allée Bel-Air.
