Apple introduces new iPhones, plus more powerful tools

Among the things the pandemic has highlighted are the opportunities and challenges that come with remote work. People have never been more conscious of technology in relation to work rather than simple consumption of lifestyle and entertainment.

In general, the people who ship the goods want good tech gadgets – and this is where Apple, despite all the criticism of its “semi-baked” innovations – enters the conversation.

Cupertino’s premier company Big Tech shared some of its latest performances with the public earlier this week at an online event dubbed “Peek Performance.” The news did not make it to the Internet, because historically, Apple kept the best in the last quarter of the year. However, those who are serious about their work and are looking for their first or next Apple product should find something good here.

Here are some of the powerful tools Apple has to offer this month:

The new iPhone SE. This will be the third iteration of the “SE” line since Apple introduced the first iPhone in 2007. It now features the A15 Bionic chip, the same chip used in the iPhone 13, and is equipped with 5G technology. These simple changes improve the phone’s battery life and camera performance. Of course, the SE line is known for being the brand’s “affordable” offering, so it comes in an old but proven case similar if not identical to the iPhone 8.

The new iPad Air. The iPad has been around since 2010. The iPad Air was introduced 10 years later with much improved specifications and case design. Today, those who use the iPad whether it’s for graphic and visual design work or simply browsing Facebook and spending 15 minutes a day on Wordle, will be happy to know that the new iPad Air comes with the powerful M1 chip, a powerful 12MP front camera and is compatible with 5G.

Mac studio. This ad was met with “oohs” and “aahs” around the world. The general consensus is that Mac Studio is a workable but still obnoxious version of Mac Pro. Its base model comes with the M1 Max chip and features a 24-core graphics processor, 16-core Neural Engine, 32GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The upgraded version comes with the new M1 Ultra chip and includes a 48-core GPU, a 32-core Neural Engine One core, 64GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD hard drive.

Those looking for news about the latest flagship iPhone model will have to wait until later this year. During Peek Performance, Apple simply announced that the iPhone 13 will be released in two new finishes: Green (for base models) and Alpine Green (for Pro models).
