Creator Eric Kripke tells us how this awesome video game scene was thought up and created in the first episodes of Season 4.

When asked by Première, he explained to us: “We did not create Tournament of Heroes specifically for Season 4. Tournament of Heroes was carefully created using CGI, with post-production effects, to meet the specific needs of this scene.”

“The funny thing is that we asked our VFX artist to design something as frivolous and violent as possible. There, I discovered the first images of Homelander in the real Mortal Kombat 1 and realized that they had done it more violent than us (laughs).
