In Essen, a man sneaked into a hospital room one night and stole a patient’s cell phone. Shortly thereafter, the police managed to arrest him.
A woman was robbed in her patient room at a hospital in Essen-Bergerhausen. This is what the police said. Accordingly, the theft took place on Wednesday night, and the police learned about it around 1.30 am.
The statement said that a 46-year-old patient woke up to a suspicious noise in her room. When she opened her eyes, she saw a strange man leaning on her at her bedside table. Here the man stole her cell phone and fled in an unknown direction.
Then the police began a chase. The crew of the squad car noticed the man who matched the previously provided personal description. Officers examined the 37-year-old and found two cell phones, one of which could be assigned to the 46-year-old.
According to the police, the man does not have a permanent address and has already been observed in similar crimes. Therefore, he was temporarily arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
