Nvidia RTX 3080 super GPUs could be integrated into new gaming laptops next year

If the pixel binning of the best gaming laptop with the RTX 3080 is still not enough for you, it appears that Nvidia is planning to release faster “Super” variants of the RTX 3000 series mobile next year, according to Videocardz.

one of Resources He claims that a portable version of the RTX 3000 Super series will arrive in early 2022. While we wouldn’t take that claim as gospel on its own, Lenovo also left the cat out of the bag by accidentally leaking a roadmap. The 3070 Super and 3080 Super SKU are mentioned in the upcoming laptop’s specifications, with 8GB and 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, respectively. This is the same capacity you’ll find on standard mobile cards, but we can expect both additional CUDA cores and increased clock speeds on both models to help boost the fps.

With the previous update, we saw that the RTX 2070 Super almost matches the performance of the RTX 2080, while the RTX 2080 Super also saw slightly improved performance compared to this card.

With the RTX 2000 Super taking over a year to update, Nvidia will be on schedule to announce a new line of mobile GPUs early next year.

The RTX 2080 Super was already capable of running many of the best PC games in 4K, so we’ll have to see how far the RTX 3080 Super can go. It might perfectly fit the 4K and 144Hz screens we’re starting to see pop up.
