On the occasion of the Olympic Games, operators are strengthening their networks. Bouygues Telecom is no exception to the rule and has covered three major Games sites in particular.
Faced with the expected influx of French and foreign visitors to Paris as well as elsewhere, operators have strengthened their 4G and 5G networks. On this occasion, Bouygues Telecom has also done its utmost.
9000 working hours
If during the XXXIII Olympiad there would be only one technology operator for everything technical, Orange, other French operators would not be left out. Paris was therefore expected to attract 15 million additional visitors during the duration of the Olympic Games.
Demand for mobile networks will be high and operators will be working to boost them ahead of the festivities. Bouygues Telecom has announced that it will cover all competition venues, but the operator is also ensuring the deployment of 4G and 5G in three sports venues: the Aquatic Centre, the Adidas Arena and the Parc des Princes.
To strengthen its network in these three regions, the operator spent 9,000 man-hours, deployed 20 kilometers of cables and installed about a hundred antennas in total.
It is enough to promise an exceptional quality of service to visitors who rely on the Bouygues Telecom network, making it possible to broadcast photos and videos of the moments they lived during these games.
