Pickpockets in ICE on tour – Offenburg

Federal Police warns passengers.

(BZ). The pickpocket attempt took place Monday morning at ICE on the flight from Offenburg to Karlsruhe. Two children, aged 17 and 25, tried to steal things from a sleeping traveler from a backpack. The woman woke up in time and informed the flight attendants. DB employees managed to detain the alleged pickpockets until the train stopped at Baden-Baden station and handed them over to a patrol of the Offenburg Federal Police. Both were traveling without a ticket, behaving aggressively towards the officers and refusing to obey instructions.

They have already attracted attention due to their aggressive behavior towards those present on the train. You are said to have slapped a DB employee. Police found a cell phone on the 25-year-old girl. Research revealed that he had previously stolen this from a train worker. Always carry cash, cards, papers and other valuables in different enclosed places
Underwear pockets are as close to the body as possible.
Carry handbags and shoulder bags with the closure side facing the body.
Never leave your wallet or jacket unattended.
Pay more attention to your valuables in a crowd. Be suspicious if you suddenly become irritable or ‘pinched’.
