Each year, the Rives Community Center holds a game festival that brings together 500 to 600 people in the Bizet Room. This year with the Covid crisis, the managers of the social center decided, after much hesitation and questioning, to organize a small game party at the cultural center.
We thank the Cultural Center for welcoming us. We are glad to be here. Our goal is to make the game library known, to be able to deliver a moment of animation to children and families. ‘ says Eric Cruziuda, director of Rives.
Since 1999, the World Games Festival held on the last Saturday in May has been an opportunity for game libraries to highlight their activism and values, to present the game as a tool for learning and knowledge transfer. The day dedicated to celebrating the game is in keeping with the principles of freedom, universality and diversity.
Free: Participation in the Game Festival is free for everyone.
Global: The game is for everyone, of all ages, of all origins, of all cultures.
Variety: Fête du Jeu honors play in all its forms, from games to board games, whether they are played indoors or outdoors, whether they are traditional or whether they use computer or video media.
