Xbox sales continue to skyrocket and Microsoft is reporting record results again.
Microsoft posted record profits again in the last quarter, among other things due to the boom in the games division, which increased sales by 51%. The company as a whole achieved record sales of $ 43.1 billion.
In its latest financial results report for the quarter ending December 31, 2020, Microsoft said sales rose 17% to $ 43.1 billion and profits increased by $ 15 billion.
Devices saw the most growth thanks to the introduction of the Xbox Series X | S. Microsoft announced that the gaming device segment has grown 86% thanks to new hardware. Microsoft also reported that overall game sales were up 51%, with sales of Xbox content and services increasing 40%. The growth is attributed to third-party titles, Xbox Game Pass subscriptions, and first-party titles.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that Xbox Game Pass now has more than 18 million subscribers.
