Syncing across Microsoft accounts will stop in July. Windows

In April, Microsoft deactivated Windows 10 timeline cloud functionality as part of Windows Insider Build. Starting in July, the functionality will begin to be retired in productivity editions of Windows 10, as Microsoft announced in a support document.

Timeline in Windows 10 was basically a good idea: keep track of all activities across devices so you can easily keep up with work anywhere. However, there was a lack of implementation and, as often, there was support from developers, which is why the timeline has always remained an incomplete symphony as Microsoft itself soon stopped investing.

In April it was announced that Insider builds would not be syncing content across the timeline. However, this only applies to personal Microsoft accounts; AAD (Azure Active Directory) accounts are not affected by this change.

In one Support documentFrom colleagues Windows is newer I found out, Microsoft wrote that as of July no more new content can be uploaded to the activity log. Since this is a cloud function, a Windows update likely will not be required; Microsoft can simply turn off the functionality on the server side.
