Are employees entitled to a cell phone for the company?
No, employees are not legally entitled to a company cell phone – this applies even if colleagues in similar jobs already have one. However, there are exceptions. For example, if the company’s cell phone is part of the employment contract. Or if other regulations, such as a business agreement, include the right to have a company cell phone. Another exception is the special features of the work relationship: employees who would not otherwise be able to do their work must have a work mobile phone.
