The Nintendo Switch leak reveals the original design of the console

A new Nintendo leak has revealed the original Nintendo Switch design, which is nothing like the final product released in 2017, making it the first best-selling console in the world. Nintendo 2020 is having a bad year from a security perspective, with leaks like crazy coming out of Nintendo archives. The latest of these leaks ends up being a switch and eventually reveals the initial and original design for what is called a switch light. Interestingly, the original design is nothing like the final product, but it is closer to the switch light than the traditional switch.

As you can see below, the original design for the console features a screen that expands beyond the analog sticks in a way very reminiscent of a mobile screen display. In fact, the console is mostly just a screen, with three small buttons at the bottom, which prevents it from being the means to fully show the face.

If the design was familiar, it would have looked like a “leaked” image of the console, creating rounds before it even came out, which was eventually written as a hoax.

According to some documents that came with the leak, the Nintendo Switch is going to support 3D functionality first and will be backwards compatible with the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo was looking to use the 480p screen. Fortunately, it decided against this and made the screen 720p.

At the time of release, Nintendo has not commented on the leak in any capacity, which is unlikely to change. However, in doing so, we will update the story with everything provided.
