Trier Research College develops digital forms of therapy
Terrier How can virtual reality motivate people with heart failure to exercise? The University’s College of Collaborative Research “Digitalization and Health” and the University of Trier are studying the use of virtual reality in traditional forms of therapy.
At the Treatment Center of Trier University of Applied Sciences, three health technology solutions have been presented, which will be dealt with by the research faculty. Six projects will examine the integration of virtual reality into digital forms of therapy with a specific applied reference. “The goal is to develop new computer-assisted methods for the health care sector,” says Jörg Loeschler, Supervising Professor in the School of Research.
Dennis Alt, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Science and Health, describes the research college as an “engine of innovation.” It is a closely related research topic. Alt gave my notice of €350,000 in funding to the President of Trier University, Michael Jackel, and to the President of Trier University of Applied Sciences, Dorit Schumann.
