The volcanic encounters at Lake Baffin (Boys du Dome) continue until Sunday, July 4

Friday evening nearly 200 people turned out for the concert on the floating stage on Tram de Balkans, thus launching a weekend of meetings about science at Lake Baffin.

Three days of Science Festival in Lac Baffin (Boys du Dome) with volcanic encounters this weekend (July 1, 2021)

The atmosphere was more serious on Saturday. Throughout the day, scientists from all over France gave workshops on discovering bats and planets using virtual reality headsets or on studying the microorganisms that live in the lake. “We learned a lot about Pavin even though we used to walk there!” rejoices Julia, who came with her family from Saint-Rémy-de-Charnates.

The party continues on Sunday, July 4th

The fifth edition of Volcano Showdowns will end on Sunday with a day of music and sports! Meet on the lake front yard, from 10 a.m., for a Saint Nectaire-themed walk. The march will be followed, at 11:30 a.m., by a musical aperitif hosted by the swinging jazz trio Um Cha. And to finish off the festivities this weekend, Cocklear will throw a relaxing concert at 4pm to enjoy on the lounge chair!
