Peruvian Nancy Velasquez and Gianfranco Cabrera founded this company in the name of the Circular Economy, in response to the diverse needs of the most vulnerable populations, and in line with their strong commitment to protecting the environment. Plastic bottles come from collaborations with associations of recyclers and recyclers who through this work can generate income to provide a better quality of life for their families. We are the first sustainable communication agency in Peru. We generate an average of 100 jobs. The benefits are that there are many families with limited resources and few opportunities, and in our production chain we are also including women who are deprived of their freedom, held in the largest women’s prison in Peru, ”Nancy tells us.

In addition to PetChila, the agency has an extensive catalog of planetary-friendly merchandise in which it uses recycled fibers from bottles to create various products ranging from clothing and accessories to recycled paper, and offers items such as: biodegradable seed pencils and even recycled cardboard furniture. Among other things, they also have ModaLoop, a completely sustainable fashion line.

Nancy explains that we are working in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, while impacting the social, environmental and economic areas.

In Peru, recycling is almost invisible, between poor public services, lack of resources and investments, lack of interest of administrations, poor information about the sector’s potential and citizen participation to almost zero, the situation is very complex. Bearing that In the South American country, only 1.9% of all waste is recycled Reusable solids and that 60% of recyclers do so informally, what Nancy and Gianfranco do is more commendable. A solution that has a positive impact on the environment and society.
