Vendée: A fire broke out in a mobile home at a campsite in Jard-sur-Mer, no injuries and about 1,000 clients evacuated

The summer holidays started with great fear for holidaymakers at a campsite in Jard-sur-Mer, on the Vendée coast, on Sunday, July 7, in the morning. Their mobile home caught fire and was completely engulfed in flames when help arrived.

About 1,000 customers were evacuated.

The fire broke out around 9 a.m. Four occupants of the mobile hometwo adults and two children, according to Sdis, the departments' fire and rescue service, Came out on her own. No injuries.

“The 1,050 camp clients were evacuated and gathered at two assembly points during the intervention.” Twenty firefighters were mobilized from different emergency centres (Garde-sur-Mer, Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, Les Sables-d'Olonne, Avril, Longueville-sur-Mer and La Tranche-sur-Mer).

The intervention was specifically made at the 4-star campsite “Capfun Curty's”. On Sunday afternoon, the reception told us that they did not have time to respond to our requests for details. The incidental effect is preferred by the gendarmerie.
