After the feature was launched on Android last month, Facebook launches WhatsApp temporary messaging feature on iOS With a new beta version. By subscribing to Testflight 2.21.140.9 beta, you’ll be able to Send self-destructing photos and videos as soon as it appears. Users who have access to the Show Once feature will see a dedicated button that looks like a timer in the caption input field.

Unlike WhatsApp messages that disappear and are deleted after seven days, Photos and videos sent using ‘One Time View’ mode will disappear immediately upon closing. The sender will be notified when their media files are viewed.

As WABetaInfo notes, there is nothing to stop users from taking screenshots and screenshots of multimedia content and you will not be notified if the recipient monitors your message. As a recipient, you can’t even prevent the sender from receiving a notification after opening the message.

WhatsApp has promoted the feature as a way to encourage more authentic and intimate conversations.

The Facebook owner previously said that some features would be blocked by users who did not accept its new privacy policy, but later retracted that decision.
