Vivo has only been active in Germany since the fall of 2020, but has presented a luxury smartphone from the start. There is now a new device from this league. It’s an abundance of technology. Only three things are missing.

Dusseldorf. Chinese manufacturer Vivo has worked with optics specialist Zeiss for its new top-tier 5G smartphone. The X60 Pro 5G camera, which will be available from June and cost 800 euros, should offer the blurry aesthetics of Zeiss’s well-known Biotar portrait lenses and offer more accurate RGB colors.

The optical gimbal mechanism already used on the Vivo X51 5G is also used to stabilize the camera’s image on four axes in the X60. According to the information, it has been improved and combined with electronic image stabilization. In the case of videos, it should now also be possible to compensate for unwanted rotation motions.

A powerful main camera

The main bright camera (f / 1.48) of 24 MP provides autofocus with motion detection and a special night mode with noise reduction. There are also two 13-megapixel sensors with vertical and ultra-wide angle (120 °) lenses on board. There is no longer a telephoto lens with five times optical zoom, as the X51 has to offer.

The screen is a 6.56-inch nearly borderless AMOLED screen (2376 x 1080 pixels) that supports HDR10 +, provides a refresh rate of 120Hz and brightens up to 500 nits / square meter.

Twelve gigabytes of RAM

The 5G smartphone’s power is thanks to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 processor. It is backed by twelve gigabytes (GB) of RAM (UFS 3.1). The 4,200 mAh battery can be quickly charged using a 33W power adapter. Vivo does not use wireless charging, as is the case with the classic headphone jack.

In contrast, the case with a frosted glass back is protected against dust and water according to the IP52 standard. The X60 Pro weighs just under 180g and is available in 256GB memory and Android 11 in black and light blue (with color gradients).
