Cell phone theft – The camera found a thief at Essen Main Station

Essen.
The 28-year-old stole the smartphone of a woman (35) in the city. Federal police officers were able to identify the fugitive in no time.

Thanks to video surveillance at the Essen main station, the Federal Police managed to catch a mobile phone thief. Officials returned the stolen smartphone to the rightful owner (35).

As the authority reported on Thursday, the woman was robbed in the city center on Wednesday evening. The victim then spoke to a Federal Police patrol that her mobile phone had been stolen. A strange “dance” to her, distracted her and stole the cell phone from her jacket pocket.

When a Bochum woman noticed her smartphone was lost, she ran after the suspect, but he got on the S6 and fled.

However, the woman managed to give such a good description of the offender that officials recognized him during a video analysis. The Federal Police asked the Essen Police for official assistance, as the 28-year-old, who was known to the police, was likely on his way home at the initial reception facility in South Essen.

When the Algerian police searched the suspect, they confiscated his 35-year-old smartphone. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the alleged thief.
