Embracer buys Crystal Dynamics, Square Enix Montreal and Eidos

European holding company Embracer Group has announced its acquisition Eidos Montreal, Square Enix Montreal and Crystal Dynamics $ 300 million, with all associated intellectual property.

The company adds to its list of successful IPs Tomb Raider, Deuce X, Thief and Legacy of Cain, To name a few for about fifty different brands owned by three companies. The acquisition will cover all the offices of the aforementioned studios for eight different offices worldwide and the acquisition of 1,100 employees, if completed as planned, will be completed by July and September 2022.
