Gaming PC for Beginners (Future Oriented)

Happy happy day everyone!

1. Do you want to play on PC?

  • What exactly are games?
  • -> Overwatch, Dead by Daylight, RDR2, GTA5, Apex and possibly future AAA titles?
  • Which Precision? Is Full HD (1920×1080) or WQHD (2560×1440) enough or should it be 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160)?
  • -> Full HD should be quite enough for now
  • Ultra/high/medium/low graphics settings? …
  • -> Medium to High
  • 30 Is it enough for you? FPS Or should it be 60 or even 144fps? …
  • -> Depending on the game, with games like Overwatch, DBD, Apex and GTA it should already be 144fps, with AAA titles I’d be happy if you could get over 60.

2. Would you like to use your computer to edit photos/music/videos or CAD? As a hobby or are you a professional? What software will you use?

-> Only software like Codesys or LOGO! Soft rest, I don’t think you need any special device for this

3. Do you have special requirements or wishes (overclocking, a particularly quiet PC, RGB lighting, …)?

-> I’m not familiar with the OC, so I’m going to leave it for now. I’d like to make the computer “beautiful” sometime in the future and modify it so a housing that makes room for more fans and maybe a WAKÜ would be very good for me. Furthermore, a motherboard + power supply that allows for future upgrades (slot and performance)

4. How many screens do you want to use? Number, Model, Resolution, Refresh Rate (Hertz)? Do you support FreeSync (AMD) or G-Sync (Nvidia)? (Please with a link to the manufacturer or compare prices!)

-> I don’t have a monitor at the moment, but I’d like to use 2 later, 144Hz with G-Sync because I prefer the Nvidia card

5. Do you still have an old computer, parts of which can be reused? (Please with links to specifications from the manufacturer or compare prices!)

6. How much money do you want to spend?

-> about 1500 euros for a computer +/- 200

7. When do you want to buy the computer? ASAP or can you wait a few weeks/months?

-> Preferably in the coming weeks but I am familiar with the current prices of graphics cards in particular. I would be interested in your opinion whether it is worth waiting until about June and whether you expect a noticeable difference in prices by then, I’m talking about 300-500 euros?

8. Do you want to assemble the computer yourself or assemble it (by the store or by volunteers)?

-> I already assembled a PC in 2017 and I think I will be able to do it. If necessary, I will return to the list of volunteers.

I would like to start with a solid base. It is especially important for me to have the opportunity to exchange parts in the coming years and fiddle a bit with the computer as mentioned above (lighting, water cooling, additional fans, upper radiator, etc.), so I thought it would be a big case + mainboard and source Energy is very important sometimes. Especially with this issue, I would be very grateful for your personal advice.

I’ve already compiled a wish list at Geizhals, but only as a rough guide. The only thing that matters to me is the Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU combo because I’ve trusted this combo for years and stumbled quite a bit there.

Thank you in advance and I hope for some good advice and guidance 🙂
