Mundaun: A horror-adventure video game revealed | Xbox One

Earlier this year, Hidden Fields took a behind-the-scenes look at Mundaun’s creation by making a video. It’s called “Chapel”, and today it is the second episode to be presented. It focuses on the first environment that led Michel Ziegler to create his own horror-adventure game. As a reminder, Mundaun will be available on March 16th on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

After learning of the death of his mysterious grandfather in a fire, our hero goes to Mundown for the first time since his childhood. It won’t take long for him to discover that something ancient and sinister is haunting the rest of the population out there. In their quest to uncover the meaning of these inauspicious events, the player embarks on a journey that will take him to the summit of Mount Mondown: from steep meadows to the snow-capped summit, past stone fields.

MWM Interactive today unveiled the second installment of the biweekly behind-the-scenes video series of the horror-adventure game Mundaun from Hidden Fields, a solo studio founded by Swiss developer and illustrator Michel Ziegler. The video series showcases his creative development process as well as the folklore and real-life inspiration behind the game.

In this second episode, Chapelle, Michel Ziegler takes us behind the scenes of a real church that inspired one of the first places he designed for the game. The episode highlights the different architectural inspirations recreated in Mundaun.

Mundaun, Michel Ziegler’s first game, takes players on a journey of a young man who travels to a dark and isolated valley in the Alps to confront a malicious entity that dwells there and unravels the mystery of the death of his great father.
