On Sunday 21.02.21, around 3:25 p.m., a plainclothes police officer’s cell phone was stolen on Weinbrenner Strasse, opposite Burghof’s multi-storey car park, in front of Margaretenheim.
The officer was standing on the sidewalk with his mobile phone in his hand when suddenly a black-clad person approached him. The black robe grabbed the officer’s cell phone, and a struggle ensued. Four to five other people, dressed in black, came and beat and kicked the officer. When the police arrived, people ran with the official’s cell phone in the direction of Meeraner Platz / Basler Strasse / Baumgartner Strasse. The officer sustained light injuries.

The first attacker is said to be between 20 and 25 years old and between 180 and 185 cm tall. The position was described as strong. He is said to have wore glasses and had short, coarse hair.

Due to the migration from completed meetings, many people were likely to be in town at the time of the crime. The Criminal Police Office in Lorach, Tel: 0-7621176, is looking for witnesses.
