Snap has launched a standalone video editing app called Story Studio, which aims to give creators more precise control over editing vertical videos.
The created video can be uploaded directly to Spotlight, a TikTok style video section. The videos can be uploaded and shared on other platforms, and are not watermarked like the ones on TikTok.
The app can be a handy tool, especially for those who are looking to use Snapchat for brand promotion and marketing purposes. Additionally, Snap says it will continue to offer “a range of opportunities” to reward popular creators. Snap still faces competition in the mobile video space from TikTok and Instagram Reels
