These situations primarily appear on PCs running Windows 11 versions 22H2 and 23H2. Microsoft confirms that these annoyances are more likely “Affects devices that use VM tools and nested virtualization features, such as CloudPC, DevBox, and Azure Virtual Desktop.

As we write these lines, the Redmond company has indicated that it is in the process of correcting this problem, specifying that the update is no longer available through Windows Update to prevent this bug from claiming new victims.

If this version is already installed, and you are not experiencing any problems at the moment, it is recommended to get rid of it by following these steps:

  • Access Windows 11 settings;
  • Open the Windows Update menu;
  • Go to the update history section.
  • Click the Uninstall Updates button;
  • Select update KB5039302;
