SaGa Frontier Remastered – Now Available for Consoles and Mobile Devices

Square Enix announces that SaGa Frontier Remastered, the high-res remastered version of the classic SaGa Frontier JRPG game, is now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PCs (STEAM), iOS and Android mobile devices.

Developed under the direction of Akitoshi Kawazu, general manager of the SaGa franchise and producer Hiroyuki Miura, the game features illustrations by Tomomi Kobayashi and music composed by Kenji Ito. Fans of the series as well as newcomers can look forward to the many exciting improvements and additions not included in the first release in 1998. SaGa Frontier appears as a SaGa Frontier Remastered for the first time in Europe and offers beautifully revised graphics and newly added scenarios with the favorite Fuse as a new playable character Plus, brand new character events. Additional feature updates include double and triple game speed, “New Game +” mode, a revised user interface, “Story Planner”, and automatic save.

SaGa Frontier Remastered is part of Square Enix’s ongoing SaGa project, which has so far launched Romancing SaGa 2, Romancing SaGa 3, and SaGa SCARLET GRACE: AMBITIONS and Romancing SaGa Re; University in the West. SaGa Frontier Remastered builds on the various narrative chains of classic cult by offering previously unreleased content, including Fuse’s main script and many new events for Asellus’ fan favorite. Through the free scenario system, players play one of eight heroes and each character has its own story and objectives. With them they explore the fantasy world of science fiction “regions”. Players can experience the game through their decisions in various and exciting ways as they discover unique worlds, technology and magic.
