Hugo Gimenez creates a virtual trade fair as a 360-degree tour of BootCenter Konstanz

(openPR) Hugo Gimenez – Search Engine Marketing Take a 360° virtual tour of BootCenter Konstanz GmbH & Co. KG. Konstanz boat dealer customers who are interested in water sports should be able to view the motor boats on display across all peripheral devices such as laptops, tablets or smartphones in great detail and without time restrictions. The online tour in bootcenter.com/virtuelle-messe accessible.

The project was designed and developed by BootCenter Konstanz as part of the 90th Anniversary. Konstanz looks back on a long and traditional history, but has established itself as a specialist in future-oriented motor boats and yachts at an international level. Sina Degen, Managing Director of BootCenter Konstanz GmbH & Co. KG, for what it considers the innovative personality of the virtual tour: “The type of implementation is unique. 360-degree tour in 6K quality with up to 19 million pixels and a high degree of freedom for the virtual visitor – which was not yet available in Lake Constance,” emphasizes the young entrepreneur . At the same time, customer orientation and the added value of daily customer advice played an important role in the concept: “Quality experiences before a purchase decision remain extremely important to our customers,” says Degen.

To create the tour, approximately 1,500 square meters of the exhibition hall and port have been converted to a digital tour by BootCenter Konstanz. This consists of 364 high-resolution images and over 1,400 interactive links between individual images. “Unlike other similar trade fairs and galleries” – explains marketing expert Hugo Jimenez – “this tour is distinguished by its impressive image accuracy and a high degree of freedom for visitors to the virtual trade fair.” The full 360-degree tour was created in 6K quality: each image recording has a resolution of over 19 million pixels.

The freedom of trade fair visitors results from the many links in the course of the tour, which offer generous opportunities for interaction. For example, users can change places inside a boat or switch to other motor boats. “The very narrowly contemplated concept of see through exhibition is likely to leave users of the tour in frustration,” explains Hugo Gimenez, adding: “This is why it was necessary for everyone involved to offer a space sufficient experience as possible. Marketed by Frickingen.

The flexible design also allows the tour to be used as an effective sales tool. The realistic and actually created environment is so limited that only single motor boats or yachts can be seen. Customers and interested parties, for example, can individually configure the optimal equipment for a motor boat with the help of a consultant. The tour is also flexible in reverse – expansion – the exhibition can be supplemented or expanded at a later time with additional recordings or information such as text, files, graphics or links.

Another novelty compared to similar digital trade fairs is its compatibility with the so-called “virtual reality glasses”: after calling a 360-degree tour on the smartphone, the VR and mobile phone mode can be turned on in the VR glasses and experience the tour as if the user were in the exhibition hall in Constance. The user can proceed in an intuitive way without touching the screen by looking at one of the links or on the “Back to Start” button for a few seconds. “Non-contact experiences of this kind are not only important at the moment. The experience of being immersed in the details of the product will continue to make a significant contribution to making the right purchase decision from the customer’s point of view, thus increasing customer satisfaction,” comments Hugo Jimenez.
