WhatsApp for desktop gets a new filter for conversations you haven’t read yet

The WhatsApp desktop application is evolving and responding to the needs of the user. However, the beta version received another useful feature.

Users now have filters for unread conversations.

WhatsApp is one of the most used chatting tools in the world, and it has a huge impact not only on personal relationships, but also on business relationships. Although we are constantly seeing updates, the truth is that the service is still a few steps away from what the competition has to offer.

The desktop version itself has received some exciting news and there are new ones on the way.

The WhatsApp development team is launching a feature that is nothing more than the ability to filter unread messages. This option is already available in WhatsApp Desktop Beta in version 2.2221.1. According to XDA-Developers, there is no guarantee that this will be a public option or that it will be made available gradually.

A new filter button appears next to the search bar. When you click on it, WhatsApp hides all your read chats and leaves only the ones you haven’t opened yet. There is even a button to clear the filter and restore the original view if there are no unread conversations.

For those who receive many messages per day, as in business contacts, this option can be very useful so that no message is forgotten. This introduction raises the possibility of creating other types of automatic search filters which can be useful for managing multiple contacts and conversations.
